Cirrus Aircraft Fleet Selected For Airline Pilot Training Program

A+ A- A

Cirrus Flight Training It has recently been announced that Lufthansa Aviation Training has chosen the SR20 as its primary training fleet. The flight-training program has ordered 25 of the technologically advanced aircraft to lead the training programs in Goodyear, AZ. The SR20 aircraft will be utilized to help train pilots from some of the world’s leading airlines, including Swiss Air, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, and even the German Air Force. Cirrus Aircraft’s partnership with Lufthansa Aviation Training is just another example of the many times it has been chosen to provide modern and advanced aircraft to prepare future commercial pilots.

Todd Simmons, the president of customer experience at Cirrus Aircraft had this to say about the partnership, “Cirrus Aircraft congratulates Lufthansa Aviation Training and is proud to be its partner in producing world-class airline pilots for years to come. Today’s forward-thinking airlines and pilot training programs are realizing the immediate benefits of teaching and learning in the most effective equipment available uniquely from Cirrus. Those benefits are amplified in the airline pilot training environment as the Cirrus SR series solution offers competitive advantages of advanced navigation and safety systems similar to the systems these new pilots will use in the airlines’ larger aircraft.”

The Cirrus SR series includes a long list of impressive capabilities and features. Some of these include two large flight displays, an electronic stability and protection system, integrated engine indication, crew warning and alert systems, and a Flight Management System (FMS) controller. Additionally, the SR series is perhaps the safest and most versatile training aircraft currently available.

In addition to Lufthansa Aviation Training, Cirrus airplanes are also used by Emirates Airline, the Royal Saudi Air Force, Aerosim Flight Academy, Southern Utah University, the United States Air Force Academy, and more. Delivery of the 25 Cirrus aircraft will begin in October of this year and will be complete by February of next year.
